Ondrej Macek - Harpsichord, Artistic Leader

In his childehood he took private lessons and basiccomposition techniques under prof. František Kovaříček. He studied harpsichord and general bass under the Israelitan harpsichordist Shalev Ad-El. As a continuo player he participated in festivals in France (Printemps des Arts in Nantes, Recontre Musical at the Villarceux Castle in Paris) and Germany (Internationale Haendel-Akademie in Karlsruhe). He studied musicology at the Charles University, than continued in his studies at the University in Brno. In 1991 he founded the ensemble Cappella Accademica, todays Hof-Musici, and since then has been its music director. In the years 1996-1998 he taught chamber music and continuo playing at the Academy of Ancient Music at Masaryk University, currently he holds courses of Baroque music at the Church Conservatory in Opava. He has been cooperating with the Foundation of the Baroque Theatre at the Český Krumlov Castle since 1997 on the research of Baroque Opera interpretation.
Szabolcs Illés (Maďarsko) - housle, koncertní mistr
He studied at the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest. After his graduation in 1995 he began to specialize in Baroque violin under Dario Luisi (Graz), he took part in many master courses, e.g. by Enrico Gatti, Lucy van Dael and Simon Standage. From 2005 to 2007 he studied Baroque violin by Sussane Scholz at Hochschule für Musik und Theater F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy in Leipzig. In 2008 he finished his Master´s studies at the Conservatoire Royal in Brussels under Sigiswald Kuijken. He has been engaged as a concertmaster and soloist by many European orchestras and has recorded several CDs. He also leads summer Baroque courses in Hungary. Since 2009 he has taken part in the Baroque orchestra La Petite Bande under Sigiswald Kuijken. He lives in Germany where he plays both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. He has been cooperating with Hofmusici since 2007, since 2008 as its concertmaster.
